Opening in Mainz city centre: the first SPIZZICANDO store

On 22 July 2026 the first SPIZZICANDO store opened at Stadthausstraße 13, with three special opening days.

On 22 July 2026 at 10 am the first SPIZZICANDO store opened: at Stadthausstraße 13 in Mainz city centre, opposite SNIPES.

What's on the menu

• Spizzaranci inspired by Sicilian arancini, around 220 grams each
• Spizzerotti inspired by Apulian panzerotti
• Spizza al Taglio as in Rome, by the slice
• Spizzi Panini, Spizzi Bites, Spizzi Sweet and drinks

The core products are made in Italy to SPIZZICANDO's own recipes and finished fresh in the store's oven. Orders are placed at the till or the kiosks, to eat in or take away.

Three opening days

• 22 July: 250 Spizzerotti and 250 Spizzaranci for one euro each, plus a prize draw
• 23 July: D-Mark day, guests could pay with old German mark notes, one to one in euros
• 24 July: transparency day, showing how much of the price goes to taxes and charges

Opening hours

Monday to Saturday from 11 am to 10:30 pm, Sundays from 3 pm to 10:30 pm.
